Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a rejuvenating Easter weekend at Casa de São Lourenço - Burel Panorama Hotel, tucked away in the breathtaking Serra da Estrela mountains. The stunning views over the Zêzere Glacial Valley were mesmerizing, making it a perfect backdrop for my adventure-loving spirit. Our well-furnished room, featuring a lovely cascading shower and access to a charming garden, was a true sanctuary after our daily hikes. What really made our stay special, though, were the warm and welcoming staff! They even helped prepare packed lunches for our outdoor excursions and reserved spa facilities for downtime, making us feel genuinely cared for. The on-site restaurant was a culinary delight, serving up local dishes with fresh ingredients that reflected the flavors of the region, all while providing an enchanting view over the mountains. Equipped with a sauna, steam room, and a heated swim-through pool, the Mountain Spa left us feeling completely renewed and recharged each day. We also appreciated the eco-friendly touches like the use of renewable energies throughout the hotel - it's comforting to know that our stay had a minimal carbon footprint! For anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature, I wholeheartedly recommend Casa de São Lourenço as the ultimate base for adventure and relaxation in Brazil!
